Cookie policy

Version: 2.4 · Effective: 11 September 2026 · Covers ratemyprompts.com, run by theround ltd.

What we set before you choose

Only cookies that the site cannot work without. You can block them in your browser, but parts of the site will stop working.

Google's consent settings start as "denied" for analytics and advertising before any Google tag loads.

Paddle's checkout sets its own cookies when you open it to pay, as described in Paddle's own cookie policy.

What we set only if you agree

Analytics. Tells us how the site is used, so we can improve it.

_gaGoogle AnalyticsA random identifier, so repeat visits are counted as one visitor2 years
_ga_NYXSWN5YVGGoogle AnalyticsKeeps track of the current visit, such as how many pages it has included2 years
ph_phc_…_posthogPostHogA random identifier, so we can see which steps of the tool a visit reaches. PostHog also keeps the same identifier in your browser's local storage1 year

Until you accept, PostHog keeps its identifier in memory only, so it is gone when you close the tab. Sentry, which tells us when something on the site breaks, sets no cookies.

Google Analytics runs through Google Tag Manager. Tag Manager itself sets no cookies. If you reject analytics cookies, or before you choose, Google's tag still sends basic measurements, such as that a page was viewed, without setting or reading any cookie or identifier, so you cannot be recognised.

Marketing. Lets LinkedIn tell us which companies and job roles visit, measure whether our posts and any adverts lead to sign-ups, and show our adverts to people who have visited. We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag, through Google Tag Manager, only if you agree. It never runs on pages that carry a private link, such as sign-in or confirmation pages.

Changing your mind

Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page, at any time. The banner has Accept and Reject buttons of equal weight, and scrolling or carrying on browsing never counts as agreeing. If you reject after accepting, we delete the analytics and advertising cookies already set on our domain.
